I think the gendered chip thing is that they've been marketing Doritos (and Mountain Dew) to men for so long women have moved on.

@Maverynthia i know that's true for mtn dew but not doritos. my first thought was of my wife who breathes sweet chili doritos or whatever they're called, the ones in the purple bag.
when i picked my kids up from school there were two little girls, kindergarteners or first graders, talking to each other about how much they love doritos. no joke.
we have a frito lay plant in town; maybe this is just dorito country.
