#Pokemon #UltraAdventure -- For context, they took out the FeMC's quote about Lillie's bed smelling nice, and they took out the emotional/romantic scene on Exeggutor Island. Can't say if those were removed for the boy MC, though I have a sneaking suspicion they weren't.

Honestly I don't really blame Gamefreak for this, Japan is completely fucked for queer representation and Nintendo is probably breathing down their necks about it.

Still, another little exclusion that makes the game less engaging for me. Just something to keep in mind.

#Pokemon #UltraAdventure -- The game is making menacing Elite Four noises at me now, so I guess we're just taking the Lusamine Retcon at face value now unless it comes back during postgame.

I guess I'm just kind of disappointed. Lusamine's villainous arc was legit my favorite part of the original game, and the Necrozma stuff just can't compete in my mind. It was an actually solid message about fighting back against child abuse and now it's just... gone.

Not to mention how much gay shit they took out, but that's another thing entirely.

#Pokemon #UltraAdventure -- So I haven't finished the story at all but it's looking like Lusamine got completely retconned to Antihero as opposed to Obsessive Abusive Mom.

They basically replaced the ENTIRE Lusamine-is-a-bad-mom plot with Ultra Necrozma plot. Lusamine isn't in a coma, and she and Lillie are on good terms now despite the whole "freezes Pokemon for her own evil collection" thing still being in the game!

Basically I really hope that the rest of the Lusamine plot plays out still and they just put it later in the game. Otherwise I'll be a bit peeved.

I've always been curious about this line... Is Lillie destined to awaken Cosmog's power in some way? That would be a really cool plot point and I hope it gets brought up at some point.

#Pokemon #UltraAdventure -- This may have been in original Moon too, but the Kommo-o fight is really well designed!

Basically, since Kommo-o is 4x weak to fairy-types, it has Poison Jab to deal heavy damage, a berry that reduces supereffective damage against it, and it summons Scizor (a steel-type) that can use light-screen. Well done, Gamefreak. Well done.
