I love AGDQ but for your sake and mine, don't EVER look at the chat/comments if it's a run done by a trans speedrunner.

Whiny milquetoast "gamers" have bombarded every inch of the speedrunning sphere that isn't strictly moderated for the sake of, what, telling somebody that their gender is illegal? I fucking hate these people.

@falkreon A general rule I have is that if you're talking to a speedrunner, things are probably gonna be fine. If you're talking to a speedrun FAN, then it's time to abandon ship.

(It's not even just transphobia, the speedrunning fanbase is brimming with toxicity and the chat is always hot garbage. It's like a concentrated extract of middle school impregnated gamergate... smh...)

@MariBari Yes! This! Like, I managed to catch Azorae in a stream one day and they happily explained Turing Test kickflips to me and that was *really freaking cool* to me. The runners exude support and respect for each other even when competing, Vulajin will hang back and walk across the finish line with his opponent. *This* is how GDQ does things. And it's a great model for what the gaming community can be. Good fences unfortunately have to be a part of that.
