I think the thing that hits me hardest about Thanksgiving is that it's literally impossible to NOT celebrate it in the states.

When our jobs & our schools give us a long weekend off in late November, that's Thanksgiving Weekend™️. If we have dinner with one or more family members during that weekend, it's Thanksgiving Dinner™️.

It doesn't matter how much you hate it, if you have the audacity to eat dinner in late November you're personally contributing to the historical erasure of Native Americans and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO to stop it.

It's infuriating that destructive, whitewashed holidays have MANDATORY participation. 😠
