Just a thing that irritated me last night and I can't get out of my head this morning: CWs are not tags. They are not to increase the number of viewers of a post - they don't act that way. They are to protect the reader.

Sometimes I might CW something in a way that you feel is an overreaction, but I do it so that people sensitive to that stuff (even if only temporarily) don't read it. If I see that the thing goes even near contentious territory and my brain is working properly, it will get a cw for that.

But if you notice me starting to do things like "it's been a long day I just want to relax with a drink", maybe step in and poke me. That's not okay logic (for me).

Also if we play games together and you notice I'm drinking while playing games (as opposed to playing games drunk after hanging out with irl friends), maybe actually stage a full on intervention. That's basically all I did at the height of my depression/suicidal ideation.

Long time followers might also notice I post occasionally about having quit drinking/having to forcibly abstain from alcohol

I wanted to say that it's okay, for now - I quit drinking when I realized that I'd allowed my definition of "fun" to overlap nearly completely with "drinking". You can imagine (correctly) how negatively that interracts with depression. Part of why I quit then was so that I could still drink socially - which is what I've been doing these past few days. Basically, I can drink while having fun, I can't drink to have fun.

happened to get a full game of people in mystery heroes who were ALL super nice. All 11 other players were the nicest.
