This morning: science fair
This afternoon: coffee, work, talk, (museum) reception
This evening: dinner at a friend's (at 6), drinks at the gay bar with a friend at 8, making marshmallows and cupcakes for a bake sale tomorrow
Tomorrow: drop baked goods off at 8:30 AM, judge graduate student posters at 1:30 PM, go to talk at 3:30 PM

but completely relaxed facial muscles with tongues lolling is what I call a "grin"

indicates happiness/contentment and lack of tension.

Dude who lives near me has a young ~ 50 lb shepherd mix and a old tiny daschund mix and I think he's a little alarmed at the way the bigger dog and Kris play but it's just normal roughhousing?

I think he thought they were fighting but they were both grinning and would stop when their names were said.

@ghost I think the biggest barrier for me is just remembering to do it. (Which is shitty but I am usually exhausted when I post).

I wouldn't mind if in the upload bit it prompted you for a description.

So I interject "like" and similar things in my offline speech to sound more approachable (I have resting bitch face)

But I do it a LOT in text, too, and I'm not ENTIRELY sure the intent translates or it just makes some of my posts hard to read.

it's a hard situation because I want to try to get the kid involved but I don't want to punish the girls in the group who definitely deserve the time and attention.

Fortunately I'm just a volunteer so if I did a totally shit job of it it's no big deal.

I did tell him that there's a lot of youtube videos about making slime and it's a cheap project for him to do on his own and he should just have a slime party with his friends if he's so fascinated with slime.

But like, hero worship and a total lack of respect for authority/other students seems like a BAD combo.

So I met a 10 year old JakePauler in person today and it was worse than I imagined.

Admittedly, I don't know how much of it was a learning disorder and how much it is being a young boy.

He wanted me to write his name as Jake Paul and I said "you don't look blond enough" and he said "you know who he is?!?!?" and I told him yeah but I thought he (the kid) was cooler and the kid goes "NO I'M NOT!!!"

He was in a group with 3 girls and could NOT stop interrupting them and/or blatantly ignoring the whole situation. They'd obviously worked very hard on their project, but he kept saying things like "I said we should do slime instead!"

Went to get coffee and someone handed me a flyer that said "Easter: Fact or Myth" and offers me "irrefutable evidence of easter".

Honestly my irrefutable evidence of easter is that people around me have celebrated it my whole life. I'm pretty sure it's a real holiday.

Also like, spring fertility rituals make sense.
