@serafin the things you listen to in your formative years are hard to shake

(I listened mostly to the Pogues when I was in single digits)

also I guess I never realized how fleshed out she became

she was a tiefling barbarian who liked to drink and fight and sometimes fuck

but she was proud, and spiteful, and protective, and always willing to say "yes, and..." to the teammates who said the same to her

do need to gently suggest that to these people and ask them how many positive experiences they've actually had with cops that wouldn't've been better served by another service.

listening to my middle class white friends complain about situations in which something was stole from them, the thief was caught on camera and identified, and the police did nothing is .............. amusing? but also like ... I really fucking hope they start to get it, at some point.
