@er1n @ghost there's nothing wrong with appreciating Hawking or finding him inspirational. There's also nothing wrong with being sad at his passing.

but the next few days are going to be a lot of abled people talking about how much he's accomplished in spite of his disability and basically using a lot of insensitive language and betraying some really ableist thought processes. I think it's ALSO okay for people who've experienced ableism recently to be pre-emptively bitter about that BS and call it out.
