@vahnj I also think the fact that the instance structure defaults to smaller communities that overlap primarily with like minded instances really helps create this mutual nurturing things?

Like, yeah, I'm pseudonymous, but if I started being an asshole to people, witches.town is small enough that I'd be directly held accountable immediately. And even if I "just" posted something a little racist or ableist or **** - I feel like I'd get called out on that by my community (nicely, but still). So if I start posting awful shit, I'd pretty much be standing in my own piss puddle immediately (pardon the crude analogy).
