someone just called me from a medical office and called me "mrs. lastname" and so help me....
it's not like they misgendered me but as an unmarried person with a relatively strong personal stance against marriage I am not a mrs and probably never will be and please don't use that for me especially as you don't need to gender me at all in that conversation (it was "I hope you're having a good day mrs. lastname" which is completely superfluous)
@pnathan my mom is the managing partner in my parents' relationship - she does all the finances and house stuff and it pisses her off SO MUCH when she gets called "Mrs. *dad's name*" by people she's basically paying that it's become a dealbreaker for her.
And honestly, this is part of my stance against marriage. I NEVER want my (relationship with my) partner to define me in ANYONE'S estimation.
