American patriotism sounds very much like brainwashing to me because it is INSTUTIONALIZED, meaning that you HAVE to love your country, you HAVE to be proud to be American. This is part of the education. This just seems to me to be a way to control the population regardless of the bad choices of their government and I find this to be fucked up.

I have learned through my work that moderation/lack thereof is a zero sum game. permitting behaviour like crass come-ons, aggressive arguments, blatantly offensive opinions, etc., drives other people away.

It's really a question of which crowd you want to drive away: a) ppl who are aggressive and offensive, or b) ppl who are shyer and unwilling to put up with aggression/offence. you cannot have both. there is no neutral middle way.

Not just #Mastodon #admin advice, but good practice in general: If somebody tells you to type a thing with backticks (that's one of these: ` ), make extra-sure you know exactly what each part of that thing does.

Aujourd'hui, le psychopathe de la savane : le ratel, 10kg.

Si on devait résumer sa vie en un mot : BALEK.

Il adore bouffer des cobras et est complètement immunisé à tous les venins, donc BALEK. Au pire il tombe dans les vapes pendant 2h puis recommence à bouffer.
