Can anyone help clarify why DMs are viewable to instance admins? It's not something I would expect, given experiences with other services.

It literally takes me like 5 seconds for us to start federating with someone else thanks to the whitelist code I implemented so that's why I'm super open to talk about federating with more instances. Don't be shy

@Arr0w_root Difficilement, pour des raisons de sécurité en fait. Si ton toot privé peut être accédé par d'autres instances alors la notion de privé devient plus trop pertinente (parce que autant tu peux avoir peut être confiance dans ton instance, mais dans toutes les instances de tou.te.s tes followers c'est hard)

Question: I saw that tooting in private would only let your followers *on the same instance as you* see the toot. Is that true? Is it a bug? If so, will it be corrected in the near future?
