@candle @Clarabel The presidential elections happen over two weeks, unless one of the candidates gets over 50% of the expressed votes - which cannot, ever, happen. So, in two weeks we vote again, this time between the 2 who scored best today.
Then we get the legislatives, to elect our representatives. The president will *have to* pick a prime minister of the party that gets the most seats then. (So if a terrible candidate makes president, we can still counter that, THEORETICALLY, by forcing what we call a cohabitation government...)
