@candle Oh, you should definitely get "est-ce que" memorized as a formula! Forget the individual meaning of the words (now that you've *understood* it), just get the full phrase down.

It's VERY useful because it turns the sentence into a question, without needing to swap the sentence structure.

"vous lisez" (you read)
"lisez-vous?" (do you read?)
=> "est-ce que vous lisez?"

It's simpler, closer to the English question framework, and allow you to bypass the weird French question structure entirely. :<
