@candle Yes, but you're allowed to ignore that, it's a typo convention that has always been gratuitous and annoying.

In typography, it's supposed to be a special "half-space" character, and since we couldn't do that on computers, most languages went for "no space".

Only French opted for "full space" instead, because fuck the world that's why. :<

(NB: the convention is "a space before all double-punctuation", so : ! ? ; but no space before simple ones like , . ... )
