But this may sound silly, but before this book it genuinely didn't occur to me that people were you know... gay in pre modern times. I knew in theory they had to be. But I hadn't really thought about it you know, because I'd hardly seen modern lgbt media, let alone historic lgbt media. So now I want to read the iliad and imagine achilles and patroclus boning because that's actually a semi-common interpretation. 😏
