Probably no one wants to think about #school right now, but #academia question:
My current method of writing first drafts for papers is the "throw spaghetti (facts/citations) at the wall and see what sticks" method. Is this something I need to grow out of? I confess I wasn't doing much refining of my papers this past semester, but the only thing I got dinged for was not elaborating and too-casual language.
They probably don't want to see the stuff I don't hand in where I swear a lot. Once I had to hand in one of those after the professor had said we didn't have to... orz
