I like chiptune music, but unfortunately with a lot of it my ears get tired after a while. Happens with some other hi-energy electronic styles too, like eurobeat.

@Alda Experimenting a little more. Changing the width to 270px makes things work correctly when adding more columns (i.e. four columns fit nicely in my browser window like before, and 5+ adds a scrollbar).

However, the change to flex: "1 0 auto" means that with fewer than ~4 columns, they grow wider. Not super bad yet with 3 columns, but with just the two non-removable ones it looks kinda silly.

Is there maybe some way to set both a minimum and maximum width of columns and allow shrink/growing freely between those limits?

Now if I could tuck the "Getting started" column above or under the toot/search one it'd be perfect.

@Alda Hmm, with the "1 1 auto" thing it does shrink them a little too narrow if I add a fifth column. Maybe I need to change the minimum width from 330px instead of messing with the flex thing.

@Alda My browser window is 1237px wide inside. To fit four columns (like before v1.4.2), they have to shrink slightly to avoid a scrollbar.

@TheSupreme @Alda It doesn't work right yet for me. I have to set the flex property to "1 1 auto" to get the columns to shrink properly. I think what you changed amounts to "1 0 auto"?

@likeoohaah Maybe you have auto-play turned off in your settings? (it's at the bottom)

AC doesn't really help if people turn up the heat to 20°+ 😓

@wxcafe Ah, that was the place that was experimenting with them. I remembered seeing one the other day, but not where it was from. That makes 3 instances I know of with increased character limits.

@Cocoron Blocking someone means you don't see their toots and they can't follow you. Your public toots are still public though, and your account is still visible.

@AquaMarching "Instance" means the Mastodon server someone is on. Your instance is mastodon.social, mine is witches.town. "Local" instance means the one you're on, the others are "remote".

@AquaMarching You see toots from people who are followed by at least one person on your instance.
Your public toots appear on timelines wherever someone follows you.

Is tonight "let's all move to Mastodon" night? I'm seeing so many peeps gushing about this magical new place on the public tl.
