It only took 5 bazillion obscure/unmaintained tools, but I've finally managed to extract the music from this NDS game rom. Wahey \o/
Cute mastodon ^_^
@Alda Eurasioceaniavision.. 😲
I'm guessing something Eurovision related is going on? @Alda is spamming my Cauldron with Eurovision toots.. 😕
Wait, Azerbaidjan and Armenia? Just how far into Asia does Europe extend according to the Eurovision folks? Should rename it Eurasiavision then..
@Technowix @noiseofstudio But you'd need a freezer to keep the ice frozen until use..
Only thing I can think of is it's for lazy people who don't want the hassle of freezing ice cubes themselves.
The small cups at the bottom say they're for making iced coffee.
Yesterday I finished watching all of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes (4 seasons, 3 OVAs and 1 movie).
It was mostly pretty meh. It starts off with a cool idea, then completely ignores it most of the time in favor of comedic nonsense. And I do mean nonsense; anything goes as long as it's supposedly funny. 3 of the 4 seasons, 2 of the OVAs and the movie are like that.
The only good parts where the original premise is actually used are the 2-episode "Alternative" OVA and season 3 ("Futari wa Milky Holmes").
Overall, I'd recommend watching a few episodes of the first season. If you like it, keep going, otherwise skip to the good parts and ignore the rest.
@Hiraelle I think she's kindof the English language authority on yuri manga.
@Hiraelle Have you tried going through Erica Friedman's site http://www.yuricon.com/ ? She reviews a lot of yuri manga.

@Sasha @Alda If you check the library's github page, the author says it's basically unmaintained because there are better alternatives now.
The Javascript one I linked to on https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/2704 looks promising. The code doesn't look too complex, so maybe someone could port it to Ruby for use in Mastodon.
@Alda Yah, I know. I just don't think it's ready yet. The language detection library used is ancient (not maintained in over a year) and super bad: https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/2704#issuecomment-298873746
@Alda I don't think that code is quite finished yet. Discussion is still going on whether to use explicit tagging (select a language for each toot; cumbersome), implicit tagging (based on user settings or instance default; better but still cumbersome if you use multiple languages), or automatic tagging (automatic detection of language is pretty bad at the moment).
@GinnyMcQueen If you can read German, these are very good introductions:

Hmm. It seems that if I reset the zoom level to 100%, the federated timeline doesn't do that jumping back & forth thing. I'd rather keep it at 80% though to have more text visible :/
Oh, this is very useful for finding interesting things on Mastodon without having to keep up with the federated timeline 24 hours/day:

As inhabitants of witches.town we should keep in mind that our donations to @Alda not only cover the costs of keeping the server going, but also compensate her for all the time she spends making and keeping this a nice place. Thank you, Alda ^_^
