Mastodon doesn't auto-link user addresses, that don't start with an @ char?
I really dislike that weird @user@domain format. "at user at domain" doesn't make sense in plain English, and I think it would be useful to get new fediverse users accustomed to standard user addresses in general (so e.g. XMPP, RS, etc. are also easier to understand).
@Kimiko_0 The format is called a "user address", and it is being used for things that are not email in e.g. XMPP, RemoteStorage and other protocols. My point is that a normal user address is *not* just "a social media thing".
