@Filene in my case I take a compliment from a stranger (if it's no disguised harrassment) as it is : not deep nor really meaningful a priori. From my own experience, I can see the beauty (physical one) of people when I frequently spend time whith them. Only then I start to distinguish the details that make their charm. Unless they have a canonical beauty ofc. So I expect people close to me to be the same but I might be wrong.

@kara_dreamer exactly. "What to work on", what to look at when in a bad phase, what to cherish on and be grateful of.

@transfaerie I must precise that I believe in no god or life after death. That is why I am particularly happy with this story.

@transfaerie maybe we are quickly dragged into a kind of trip. Some people close to death relate examples of such a state. Maybe when we are in a good setting, we just travel, time has no meaning, so we consciously never know that it's finished and just experience infinity within a few seconds.

@transfaerie I had one that was so strong it still echoes months after. Many thoughts, links between what I've experienced and inner questions suddenly appear in my head at random moments. I wonder what my brain is doing in the background.
It popped in once that minutes or seconds before death, maybe the functioning of our brain is highly disorganised. (Cells dying, some urgence circuits activated ? Various responses to threats ? Leaks or dysfunctioning regions?)

Am I the only one bothered when someone close to me says "you are beautiful" to convince me I am, with no other detail/analysis ? I mean, when you've read a book, saying "I went through it and I think it is good because I liked it" is... not enough right ? Idk, I feel that I need people to explain me why, what caught us, so that I can improve my self-consciousness/confidence. But for some reason some people can just frame the big picture D:
