Yesterday someone wrote about shaving one's head clean, which has become not only a custom to me, but a part of my identity as a nonbinary person ... as Juni. So I began to spell out a jinx, which turned out far too long, so I'm now working on a new blogpost ...
#Copwatch #Berlin should be a thing. Privileged people should leverage our security in order to oversee police and do what we can to stop racist and violent policing. There are many resources for how to start a copwatch group, and it's an easy to reproduce model. I would like to try to start a group here.
Berliners also need Know Your Rights trainings for police interactions. Knowledge is power when it comes to defense against police abuses, and many new residents of Berlin who don't speak German are easy targets for police harassment and rights violations.
