Ron Weasley is underrated character of the day, every day

"He abandoned Harry and he was jealous when Harry's name got out of the Goblet of Fire!"

he was 14 did you never screw up at 14

"He abandoned Harry in the woods!"

he was frustated and he was under the influence of the Horcrux and he immediately wanted to go back but he couldn't

sorry that he wasn't perfect i'm sure you never did anything wrong in your life ever and you were never angry at someone that didn't deserve it

Hiradorable @Hiraelle

Ron is the boy that sacrificed himself on the chessboard at 11, too

Ron is the boy that always comes back and understand that he screwed up

Ron isn't perfect but yeah I'd gladly want him as a friend

Positivity for Ron Weasley 2k17

@Hiraelle why did they need to actually be on the chess piece as again?

in honor of Positivity for Ron Weasley 2k17 I'm recc'ing this again

fanfiction.net/s/2056512/1/Inv

it's Ron-centric and it's post-Hogwarts, and it's kinda? a casefic (Ron is deep undercover)

@Hiraelle i don't understand people who hate him when Harry loved him so much (the only thing that really irks me is the whole Ron/Lavender/Hermione thing but I think it's more JK's fault than anything)

people are all about James and Sirius friendship/adoptive brother relationship but when it's about Harry and Ron suddenly it's totally different

@sempervirenx I don't think the movies did him justice (like they gave his good lines and good ideas to Hermione from what I have seen?) so that may have played a part in it

also he did hurt Harry by screwing up and Harry is the protagonist, so.... they only remember the hurt

@Hiraelle the movies are shit for relationship (and they skipped the letters part at Sirius' house which i will never forgive them - yes more than the eyes thing) but true

but - *screams*

@sempervirenx @Hiraelle well idk for other people but personally I just didn't really like his character (I don't hate him but... Idk, I wasn't attracted to him. I don't hate him but I don't really like him. Not more than if he was a secondary character))

@Luern @Hiraelle even in the books?

yeah but still you're not hating on him or saying is shit so it's fine. + well everyone relate differently to characters, esp as kids/teens (i love him way more now than i used to)

oh the Cup thing bothered me too, like wth JK as if Ron wouldn't believe Harry

@sempervirenx @Hiraelle I read the books 9 or 10 years ago so I don't exactly remember :'D
