and don't tell me she couldn't have done more because with the series' popularity she sure as fuck could have included characters that canonically were LGBT+ if she had really wanted it

Rick Riordan did it, and he had planned it, if I remember correctly

@Hiraelle yeah i think he planned it too (tho it's really not the best way to introduce a character's sexual orientation -said chara was forced by a god to out himself) (+ most of his characters are blatantly bi but nope -NOT EVEN FUCKING APOLLO- and Artemis' girls were def not straight-. It's still a start tho) (he also has a genderfluid character in his latest serie)
