@BillyKaplan Slytherin!Harry can be good, Slytherin!Harry with Ron bashing is fucking bad like every fucking fic with bashing in it
@Hiraelle I know right?? Like I lie the consent of Sytherin!Harry, but all the fics for it are either poorly written (bad grammar, very short, poor dialog) or have ron bashing and, it's just like?? Why?? Ron is a great character, why do people write him so poorly?

@Hiraelle Ok yeah, he did, but he fixed said fuck up, and why does one fuck up seem to out way all the good that he did, you know, like sacrificing himself as a chess piece in year one? Facing his a huge ass spider he fears in year two. And then you got the fact that he develops from someone who is kind of a bigot at the start, lets admit that, but he unlearns most of his problematic behavior and often admits to his mistakes, He's got great character development. All the bashing seems unneeded and poorly written.

and EVEN if bashing was "deserved" - it is poor writing and it makes poor fics.

I usually spot problems a mile away now so I can close shitfics fast, at least
@Hiraelle Yeah, What i do is go on AOL and then I sort them by word count, and that pushes most poorly written fics to the bottom of the list, and then I just read through every single tag on eachfic in an attempt to sort out which ones have problematic content.

@BillyKaplan I sort by Kudos, check "complete" and put "-bashing" in the tag search thingy and then I browse. (not only Harry/Draco fics, everything)
@Hiraelle And then can we talk about how poorly written Drarry Fanfics are (don't get me wrong I ship them, I actually use to hate the ship, thought it was overrated, then realized I'm an idiot and the ship is amazing, lol) but, for some reason I can only name like maybe 12 well written Drarry fanfics, that have no Ron bashing or Hermione bashing or other greatly problematic tropes.
