queer people are still fighting now
our history is never taught, but the rights we have now (that are not enough) didn't appear magically, queer people had to fight for them, and we still have to fight
I hate when people say "why are you fighting, things got better and will get better"
as if it's not fighting, not demanding rights (in opposition to "asking nicely"), that made things "better"
(not better enough for all of us)
