how do you even perform electronic music live, it's dead boring to watch one person perform isolated synth lines to a backing track, maybe just about tolerable if it's two people but still kinda dull? pet shop boys manage to pull it off tho
hot chip perform their stuff with a full live band so it's a whole different sound but an incredible live experience
kraftwerk have made non-performance an art form but that's their thing and theirs alone tbh

@envgen @HexManiac i mean jeff wayne did pay an orchestra tens of thousands of pounds to record his album and then he bought a CS80 and decided to erase half of the orchestra parts and replace them with CS80. probably due to sunk cost fallacy more than anything. i think he went bankrupt and the label had to bail him out
