@lex_jay I'm on the west Yorks/Lance border, from Wales though. I think my sometimes anachronistic and eclectic use of language is because I'm autistic and grew up very isolated from others, but with radio 4 and welsh TV, so I copied all the stuff I liked off there. My accent and vocab when speaking welsh is
rathrr bizzare, as I use words from all over the place, and my cadence when speaking is a bit jarring. I like it though. #facts
@panickyintheuk the person I spoke to said they really love giving free samples, and I imagine they know that some folks really want the stuff for vegan/ethical/sensitive skin/other and can't afford it and some people go in and spend £££ without a second thought, so it balences out :D

This morning is good. Went to Lush to get some face goop to deal with the impending skin doom that accompanies hormone therapy, got felicitations from the staff and loads of help navigating all the Goops to find ones that I can handle texture and smell wise.
Part of me is relishing the opportunity to experience aspects of puberty again with more power and less abuse :D
people keep talking about united, but one angle people are missing in the story is that #ACAB

for folks wondering about content warnings and things being "too important" to place behind a warning:
the point of content warnings isn't to suppress speech or thought, it is to allow those of us who have experienced trauma to mentally prepare ourselves before seeing something.
I have trauma related to police. It does not stop me being an antifa on the front lines - but when I protest, I know I am going to see cops, and I prepare myself to handle that.
CWs help more ppl engage, not fewer.
