Sitting in the shade of the nice weather and thinking about an #iChing reading I got yesterday; mountain over water changing to tree/wind on a mountain. The first hexagram is about all teachers having been pupils somewhere along the line, and about the nature of teaching. The changing lines cover much, but convert to a hexagram about gradual progress.

I had asked it about my writing, and my progress in life in general, and the changing line I was told as dominant, talks about idolatry.

I just looked up the etymology, but it didn't reveal more than what I realized today. I've been idolizing all sorts of my fears, as if they might consume me.

I was recently inspired, in a way I can't remember, to see if a pentagram might inspire me in my Practice; I wasn't sure how I might be inspired to be a witch by the five-pointed star, but this is what came to me:
Cocksure
Eloquence
Possession
Ignition
And sumption (with possibly inspired prefixes like con-, as-, or none at all)

I screwed with the levels again to make it more striking and have a stronger silhouette. I'm worried I played with the colors too much. @u@;;;

I can't express enough how this social channel has helped me feel in touch with other magic makers. "Wanting to be a witch" and "Having the habits of a witch" all help.
Now, "socializing as a witch, with other witches" makes me feel a lot more visible, recognized, and grateful to have people like you here as my peers.

I truly felt "my self" today. I'm known as "Finding Filene" almost everywhere else, including emails. I wasn't sure what to do in the case I find myself. 🤓 😜 🐭 I thought I had came up with other kitschy, rhyming/alliteration names. I was tempted to start adopting some, & maybe I still will. But until then.. I want to get better acquainted with me. >.>

At the end of ep 5, the way to solve the problem was to give a depressed, floating king NOT a black, dark, held raincloud, but a compressed cloud of wretched stink. In a way, it was empowering. He didn't bring a dark cloud, just a cloud that was subjectively bad.

In fact, they had a song about that. The stink had appeared pleasant to a few folk in the show already. The fact the depressed king liked it, and so did a main char, came up. But at the end, everybody sang about how they cause no trouble to be themselves, as everybody does different harmless things.

By now, I've engaged in a lot of personal witchcraft.

I've collected my memory brands of inspiration: I've kept trinkets of family; I've collected reagents from my own life; I've collected evidence and badges of my fears; I've curated a satchel with a selection of the above; I've collected ideas, in typed notes, written logs, and personal logs; I've collected enough written material to discuss or educate another.

I've also enacted my ideals: I've taken steps with my transition as soon as I was ready to move on; I've gotten mental help; I'm taking my meds; I'm doing self-care; I'm visible

Years ago, I had a vision of myself being a person I wanted to be – a witch, with a seduced woman in my lap, with my hobbies that I crossed with my witchcraft.

Just now, I envisioned myself in the wig and rainbow outfit I had on. And I saw myself heading out, and being one of the queer, seductive, magic makers I wanted to be, in form.

I felt her. I felt me. I felt the person I wanted to be. All that magic of my image matching up took a long time to build up, with some good weed & True & The Rainbow Kingdom's 5th ep.

But now, my habits have had their true outlet: regular participation HERE, IN A WITCH COMMUNITY. :D

Trying to revitalize my spirit a little. My spouse is working her second job, but could've passed out after her first.

I want to let her stay home with our kid, but I rarely get even a rejection letter from my resume. I'm trying to get paid for time that counts to get us ahead, but I'm getting all sorts of barriers.

I'm trying hard to make sure she doesn't feel the need to overwork herself. But I can't do that without money. Sigh.

I'm hoping I get the hang of selling, publishing, and marketing my writing soon. 😣

I still gotta write some of my notes from here into my book of shadows...

Somebody already research this? Witches "get" the universe, so their depicted houses spare spider lives. They get dusty and have cobwebs from letting spiders move in to renovate web homes.

I guess other witches in other places would show the same deference to their local pest solution, or if it's another familiar they've named. Maybe Australian national witch citizens would be travelers with a dog familiar.

My spouse called a spider we had hanging around "Frank" and now I realize I miss them. The outside groundsman took his webby home. :( FRAAANK

The "magical girl transformation scene": when time stops, and a whole long-active process gets to immediately launch someone into power in a few moments, outside of the story. It's like a dimensional slip, almost always enough time spent transforming guarantees a problem, no matter how late the heroes arrive they have enough time to transform.

It's almost like they have that pocket magical dimension that explains the wipeaway or background change around magical transformations. There's something innate to the universe, now, that enables an alternate you, to walk out.

Why not from our hearts?

So..
In watching True and the magic kingdom, I think True's wishes are an allegorical device for "how writers solve problems."
It could be more abstracted, though. True facing the problems herself makes it more of a personal involvement. I could imagine an ideal of this would be a tv series about a writer of "deus ex machina." Someone who goes around fixing problems, but requiring poetic justice to work..

Ps, near the end of episode two seems to have a really genuine friendship jealousy concern revolved in a really powerful way.
