Sitting in the shade of the nice weather and thinking about an #iChing reading I got yesterday; mountain over water changing to tree/wind on a mountain. The first hexagram is about all teachers having been pupils somewhere along the line, and about the nature of teaching. The changing lines cover much, but convert to a hexagram about gradual progress.

I had asked it about my writing, and my progress in life in general, and the changing line I was told as dominant, talks about idolatry.

I just looked up the etymology, but it didn't reveal more than what I realized today. I've been idolizing all sorts of my fears, as if they might consume me.

I was recently inspired, in a way I can't remember, to see if a pentagram might inspire me in my Practice; I wasn't sure how I might be inspired to be a witch by the five-pointed star, but this is what came to me:
Cocksure
Eloquence
Possession
Ignition
And sumption (with possibly inspired prefixes like con-, as-, or none at all)

Another thought:
"Celebrating the day" is hard to teach people when they can't be happy without a reason. Usually it ends up more like a "preparing for the day," because 'the day' is felt like a metaphor, or an 'event' that you could get exhausted thinking about.

Maybe yoga helps in ideology, having a literal pose be "sun celebration"

We were discussing how the daily "rhythm of the night" through sunlight manipulates rooms well-lit all day. Like a grocery room makes you forget what time it is, or that it passes. This is unlike farmer's markets, or some flea markets. But a server room traps you in a moonless prison

I've been considering the possibility that, based on other things I've believed, parallel universes do exist, & we move through them. We just gotta move through them via closest neighboring universes.

The thoughts I have on this is, if you want to go to a universe where you work out daily, you need the minimum signal of change between "here" s "there" to get to, before you turn up the signal on "there" enough to be stuck there. This could be doing Tabata intervals for me, again.

Similarly, thinking, "what would ___ say/do?" Allows for new directions/unseen moves between.

I realized my spouse loved me with her whole heart last night. I'll recall the context soon.
The closest I had was that it takes courage to love with your whole heart, because you risk your whole heart. Then to do so, you have to include the part that's scarred & bruised to your cause.

Thinking about it, though, the power of loving with your whole heart, and being vulnerable, also inspires the very courage hidden in the heart. That, courage is a hidden part of the heart, only there when all's used.

Another thing to recall for the book:

Last night, while my spouse was eating her last tater tot, I saw a sign flash before me.
I was gazing at her ketchup spill, and she stroked her fork in the air, cutting a path through the ketchup with her tot. In the merest moments I had to memory, I saw it. A peacock.

A ketchup peacock, clear as day, and it befuddled me. On our peacock dinner plates, she scraped a path that left a clear peacock in the ketchup's edge. Head feathers, legs and feet, feathers gently spread beneath and to the side of the feet, and a smooth head and body neckline.

And just like that, it was gone after she began her second stroke. The peacock, born in an instant, & vanished

I was swyping up a huge storm of thought. Getting grilled in the am, chica. I think it took me an hour.

I realized today a line. "I don't have to be any less than the woman I want to be today."
Like, any level you pick, you still aren't denying yourself, and you're deciding your worst. But you aren't any less than that outside of your moral failings, which you have a right to define, and not accept new ones. This made me realize I had many less failings, but just that i was also better than I thought I was. Suddenly, I feel like I can be even better, and that would be the woman I WANT to be today. So I am, not any less strong, moral, and such. Am I struggling to grow bigger? Yes, but who isn't? I'm still to be treated as no lesser, outside of privately.
