So, when @Cascadiarch was 12, she got herself lost in the desert on a field trip for school; and went 2 days without proper hydration beforehand. So a very bad situation, a kid lost and in need of help.
She says coyote possessed her, then. As if a spirit said, "Nah, you're okay, we can find you water!" Coyote led her around the desert, showing her how she can appreciate it, how to enjoy the flora, the mountains, the look of the place.
Then she found her classmates.
But coyote didn't want her to be found and spoil the fun, BUT the students had water.
So Hazel-coyote prowled, followed, and stole bits of water for herself, stealing from backpacks, etc.
She never took too much, though.
Just sips here and there.
Never truly taking everything from one person, but having her fill.
when she got bored, she went back to the classroom.
The class entered at long last, and Hazel-coyote pretended to be exhausted; so she got ice cream on top of the whole ordeal.
coyote is still with her. Often coyote comes out in her hand, as she forms a coyote head with her fingers, and sometimes coyote gives me nuzzles and licks.
Once, though, Hazel looked at me and said "Yeah! I'm coyote!" I was like, "What?" And she was like, "Yeah! Sheep is in here!" And her hand made a sheep face.
@Ulfra_Wolfe @Cascadiarch this is an amazing, sublime relationship. Bless this universe 😣
@Filene @Cascadiarch I hope to see more of such wonderful relationships! <3
