@kara_dreamer that's interesting. the minor cards feel much more practical than the majors in the sense of concrete action, where the majors/court show bigger influences, directions, overall patterns ...

the drawback I suppose would be that in some cases there just aren't big things going on, or the global part is super important, so it might be that the relative density of cases get skewed

@kara_dreamer the Thoth deck I had before was bigger and it was really nice actually ...

@kara_dreamer for me Thoth is best for major arcana and court cards really ... though the geometries and colors of some minor cards speak to me a lot

@acrata I'd interpret as just providing another option. trans women are women so they can mark W, trans men can mark M, but nonbinary people surely would be happy to have the option of X

@kara_dreamer totally! it has a feeling of reason turned to practical ends that i think is really appropriate

the Thoth deck I have I bought online and it's the same size as a regular deck of playing cards, which is too small for me it turns out. also there's an app (free) so one can use it on the phone, and it also reproduces the Book of Thoth text (though a little garbled in places)

@kara_dreamer to me it feels like productive (in some sense physical) work in ongoing stages. in terms of farming, it's like plowing and sowing where the King is about the harvest and surveying the domain ... in this sense it feels quite appropriate to starting a new job, with the learning, application and work that's entailed there
