日本語母国語の方はこの情報あまり入らないかもしれないのでここで載せます。
マストドンの文化って元々LGBTQ+だったりアンチファストだったりします。（ここでよく言われているウイッチはその辺の一部のコミュニティを指します。）
日本でこの辺の文化はあまり伝わってない気がしますが、いかがでしょうか？
日本にもその事を理解する人が増えたらいいなと思っています。マストドンの独特の文化の特徴でもあるしいいところでもあります。そもそも日本人のそういうスペースになったら嬉しいです。なかなかないので。
この情報広く知られたらいいな、と思っています。

@candle @Eve we're still working on better non-Roman script support. We wanna be able to support them through punycode or some other method but also there's a lot of security risks and hacks which would open up if we don't implement it in a very intentional correct way. it's something you have to do right the first time you do it.

A lot of English-speaking tooters were concerned about this, so I was hoping someone would translate that concern to each new community as it joins.
@Riley yeah I am worried about it too tbh. it would be really sad if the key features of the community were destroyed because they weren't accessible to some users. probably it's good if someone does the same for other languages too ...
@Eve I think as long as the message transfers to enough people, it'll become self-perpetuating as Mastodon grows. When the tech press brought all the Usual Suspects of Tech in, it seemed like they picked it up and ran with it once some of the original tooters brought it up.
@Riley really I need to make an account on the local communities and put it back up there (maybe even periodically)

@Eve @kingu_platypus_gidora It doesn't work with emojis in hash tags either. Might be an encoding thing. File an issue here: https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues
@Riley @kingu_platypus_gidora the Japanese font encoding hashtag screwed up, I had to change to the "regular" one
