Met with the psychiatrist at my HMO that specializes in gender identity for the first time this morning

It was a really productive meeting, and I liked them and the options they presented me with

It's going to be good talking over all my options while I wait and see that my job situation is solid before starting HRT

I wish my job situation was settled, or rather, it's very settled but it might get unsettled due to transition at some point since I'm not out at work. I am just hoping it will be ok and not lead to any kind of disaster. hopes are high

@Eve thanks! I feel really lucky to live where I do surrounded by such a supportive society, I doubt there will be any big problems with my coworkers in that distant future, but we shall see

Keep those hopes high! I hope your coworkers realize that you'll only be more present and effective when you can bring your whole self into the office :)

@katje that's great. Where are you actually?

I expect in my case that it'll be a little complex and there will be some hassle with HR, and my relationship with some problematic colleagues will be destroyed but overall it'll be ok. But we shall see...
