Recently I played D&D again for the first time in quite some time. This is very very fun actually 💜 My character: a witch, of course 🦇🌑✨☄
@Eve I really like the look of 5th Edition D&D, but my one attempt to run it wasn't a big success. Maybe I'll get to play someday though, if I can find the right group.
@ghost_bird I'm enjoying it. I havent even looked at D&D since ancient editions and I am finding this really fun. count me in for any online gaming thing if that's something you do :)
@Eve I'm very much about face-to-face play, alas - I think it's the best fit for my very talk-y improvisational GMing style. But you're first in line if I ever decide to give online a try. :-)
@ghost_bird I dont know how a pure online would be for me either tbh. This time I played with distant friends and skyped in to their physical session. I could see the other players but not the DM, which was interesting actually
@Eve Yes, that sounds more workable. And I can see uses for an invisible GM as a stylistic choice, although it might end up a bit Wizard of Oz.
(And as an aside, it was the witch/warlock class that interested me, too. I quite like the idea of playing a mad poet whose spells are all odes to their fae Lady-Lord.)
@ghost_bird ahhh very nice idea! Mine is more metaphysical and abstract involving a Great Old One of my own invention
