Salut Sorcières 💜 we seem here to be on the cusp of the rains 🌧💚

@Eve i have some very fond memories of rain days in japan :)

one walkin' across kyoto with my local friend to a department store, to look at big CRT TVs they sold that were good for gaming

said friend later helped get one shipped to me (talk about above and beyond)

i have some photos from that day somewhere, actually

❄️Eve🌘🌬 @Eve

@alyx sounds really nice. here it turns out I misspoke: once I actually got out the house i found it was not raining at all, in fact quite nice, though it's starting to look like I just had a brief window of sun

kyoto walking sounds great. I want to go again, actually this is a really nice season to be there too (just at the start of the rainy season .. cool and damp, moss looks beautiful)

you should come back again!!!!!

@Eve i would love! to visit japan many more times but it seems expensive? travel for my previous 3 trips were paid for by my job at the time.

but maybe i should anyway. :)

here are some of those rainy kyoto photos. october 2005

my friend was quite a climber so he decided to cross that bridge above the river in an unintended fashion

i am not sure what pikachu was guarding

@Eve bonus pic of him playing ps1 dodonpachi in tate mode back at his place

rainy day memories :)

@alyx kyoto is beautiful .... looks warm & nice actually. a little early for the autumn leaves I suppose. I was there in november a few years ago and it was really amazing.

you should come again! I don't think it's that expensive at least if you don't move around in the country too much because trains cost a fortune. food is cheap these days. it's not super super cheap though ..it's always easier to travel when its paid for lol

@Eve huge fan of moss btw. miss it from my childhood when it carpeted part of our backyard.

so nice to touch, walk on, look at closely
