@KitRedgrave I haven't looked at it tbh. I wonder if they even try to teach writing. I don't think other Duolingo languages have non roman scripts?
@Eve Oh, apparently it comes out *tomorrow*, but it's showing like 67% ready. So no Japanese quite yet.
@KitRedgrave my phone has it actually! i opened it up and it is already teaching hiragana ....

@Eve maybe it got to be past midnight where you live (i don't know where that is), and they're gating it on your phone by local time

@Eve @KitRedgrave I think it's out for iOS but not android or web yet due to needing some new client features. The update must not have landed just yet for the other platforms.
