If you want to change something abt <thing that's around for quite some time> there's a non-0 chance that <ppl working on the thing> have thought abt that. and there might be a reason why it's that way.
Also I feel like trying to shape a platform you arrived on 2wks ago is not a good way of acting anyway. Like, maybe ppl who were there 1y ago have a better opinion? Idk.

If you feel like numbers influence you in a bad way, then probably stop looking at them. The same way clocks and watches are bad to some ppl, they just stop using them, that's it.
Numbers can be bad in the way they influence you, I know, I'm guilty of that everywhere.
But some ppl already mentioned the useful infos those numbers provide, especially re: potentiality of harassment so, huh.
I don't want to go into details but it feels weird to me that ppl w/ huge socmedia presences are being like "follower counts are not useful".
Also, not useful to you !== not useful to anyone.

that's a bad idea for the reasons already said. it's a good thing to be able to tell who the highly-connected people are. another point of data to make informed choices from.
really i am against removing any kind of information from the display if it's not a privacy concern

Like, Trans Europa Express has been sampled a bajillion times. You already heard the melodies for sure. Listen to the whole album, it's a masterpiece.
BTW if you like electronic music you /HAVE/ to listen to Kraftwerk. It will be hard to appreciate but it's soooooo "instructing" because they've been so influencial it's amazing.
