@alyx Basically I'm working on/writing a custom software to VJ so I can tour w/ a friend of mine who's an electronic music producer. I should be able to show more later this year!

i interpreted VJ as a karaoke host, a video jockey? i learned they were a thing recently!

@alyx I guess it's more VJ as visual jockey as "I put visuals and videos to go with the music that the artist is playing at a given time"

@Eramdam are you familiar with jeff minter's stuff in that area from the '90s

@Eramdam it's probably outdated now but he was known for his experimenting in that stuff back then

the dos shooter tyrian had an awesome (for 1994 or whatnot) sprite-starfield visualizer in its setup.exe, used to love staring at it
