Someone fucking teach me how to talk to a Virgo moon because she's been my family my whole life but teaching her how to work with technology is like pulling teeth.
@jesibeans I'm a virgo sun who's tech fluent, my advice for teaching old ppl tech is to go Very Very Slowly and explain each step, each element, and/or any questions that are asked
there's a lot of terminology/symbology we already know instinctively because we've grown up with it
also, know when to give up. some old ppl just don't want to learn new tech
@DragonMagic all very accurate points. it's more i want to try and help but god, she can be so damn stubborn.
but again, thank you, and i do need to be patient on that (and sadly my aunt is in that last sentence - just...does -want- to learn)
@jesibeans oh I totally understand, my grandma refuses to use ANY sort of "advanced" tech, so anything outside of her TV, car, and home phone is just *too* complicated
and then there's tech she understands, but is too paranoid to use, like cellphones
but the worst was when I had to lie about being in online college courses because it would've taken too long to explain how it works every time she asks about it OTL

Right now it's trying to explain live streaming and redirected links to her and I'm like "dude -I- barely understand the former and the latter is like a detour, but on the internet."
