I think, in the end, a worldview is just a set of tools you use to make meaning out of the world. It's how you contextualize things, and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I call myself straight, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't kiss a sufficiently-cute girl; it's just a shortcoming of the model.
At work, everybody contextualizes things through what their pastors tell them the bible says. And me? I guess the only tools left to me are some dumb PS2 RPG, because nobody can take that from me.
I can't quite express what I'm thinking, but I wanna write it down before I forget it, and that's close.
@Dauntless It is amazing how little a thing "objective truth" can be. without some sort of emotional connection to personal reality, an objective truth just lies there, inert, lifeless easily trodden on and forgotten.
