Yesterday I spent a lot of time on my appearance and picked out the perfect goth outfit. mesh skull blouse over maroon shirt that matches my hair, torn up black leggings over fishnets, black doc-like boots. and did way more effort on makeup than i've ever done. was going for a warm subtle look with smokey eyeliner and burgundy eyeshadow that slightly matched my plum hair. and finally got around to painting my nails and stuff. I felt great and I feel like all the next times I'll be more comfortable. I have a bit less passing anxiety now. Though at one point I did have to walk through a wal mart for like 30 minutes and i got some weird stares.

That weird interplay of 'eeeeeeeeeee cute outfit' and 'oh, people dont rlly do' outfits' and I kinda stand out.... ' is so weird

Like I had hella social anxiety in Vegas because of the same outfits and clothes I wore in the pnw, people were way quicker to judge me as some sex worker

Vs what'd be a bit cute and quirky in a city with a diff culture

When I first transitioned it was in a towm where women were expected to dress modest and wearing any amount of makeup made you stand out

That kinda brainfucked me for a while till I could actually get into a space to freely experiment with style
