In all honesty, democracy--as an ideal--is inherently flawed; when you give absolutely everyone a voice, you end up with tyranny of the majority.
And let's be real: America never had a democracy to begin with.
@ayachan @KyokiKafuka democracy is impossible, or at the very least too mich effort. less government would solve a lot of these "everyone has a voice" problems. voices matter on a smaller scale. smaller voices are also less likely to be echoes, imo.
in all honesty, i have no idea what mary stone is even saying apart from that she hates Republicans. i'm not asking for a solution, but what exactly is the problem?

@CursedConfetti @cardboard @KyokiKafuka Democracy is a flawed concept (I speak often of "tyrrany of the majority"), but by no means does autonomy solve that challenge, in my opinion.
As a communist, I believe that devolving power entirely to individuals will create chaos, instability and deepening tribalism between people and groups. I favour stability through working for a common goal.
In my mind, people have focused too much on personal happiness instead of the stability of all.
