@CursedConfetti It also just kind of excluded women as a class from the revolution, even 150 years ago or whatever when the Manifesto was written.

I want to say that the reason why Marx emphasized factory and farm workers during the 19th century was a very deliberate strategic choice, in that it allowed great orators (like Lenin and Stalin) to reach two very specific demographics that---at the time--were so central to the flow of resources.

But the world looks nothing like that today.

It's a hard thing to have a good dialog on as a community because sex work exists in so many forms and scales of monatization

Like tbh i consider cis het normative féminine domestic duties to be sex work, just unmonatized or just in a way of providing shelter/etc like feudalism for a good chunk of history
