@Concerned_Catgirl I'd guess from french <- Italian <- latin or something. Anyway we have the word «parole» in french, which means «something you say», a «piece» of talk, one or a few words. The verb «to speak» is «parler» and its similar in Italian, they have «parole» and «parlare», with as far as I know the same meaning as their french equivalent.
@Concerned_Catgirl Yay ! I like being useful :) Also, it's good to be able to see french as something actually useful. That sounds wrong. But like some knowledge I have and not everyone has and that can have a value to people who don't. I like that.
