@jenkshields @Concerned_Catgirl Well, words change of tone with time and use. You could say the same for Geek. It was an insult and then people started to called themselves "geeks" and now it's just a word like another.
(Btw, the first time I heard the word "queer" it was from the French version of the TV show of the same name)
@Concerned_Catgirl honestly here in nz I p much never heard the word queer growing up but gay was used derogatively literally until mid high school
