@ebel i get what you are saying, but it's kinda of a broad statement, too broad to be considered correct. I mean, we should not make science a political matter, for example. There are ethics implications to (almost) everything, but not all of them should/are guided by politics and ideology.
@Baerd @sherby and in the amount of effort / work given to different topics. And in how science is communicated and used. And the fact that "science" is full of people (scientists). And the history of science is full of political issues etc.
You're right that the original quote is a simplification, but so is nearly any statement! Including yours about science. 🙂
