Ah yes, the hyper niche and inaccessible POKEMON! Even Dangerous Waters with its 570 page manual required to learn the game is nothing to sheer intimidating complexity that is Pokemon! Clearly something a mere child could never master! It certainly wasn't the first video game myself and many others ever played. Hell, I'm sure you never even heard of it! Clearly, nothing could possibly be more underground than the fandom of Pokemon. They'd have to be out of their mind to ever create merchandising for it; it'd never sell. @noxy Oh yeah, I definitely know a lot of people want more challenge from the series. It's very much why stuff like smogon competitive play and self imposed challenges like Nuzlocke runs are around.
Hell, my partner just up and quit Sun because she was frustrated with how even midway through the game most trainers and even trail captains would only have two or three pokemon against her six.
