Here's another interesting book review. It's about the promise, and failure, of the Soviet Union in the 50's. :/

Hey, so I think I managed to optimize Agora so it should run pretty okay now. Low power computers will likely still have some trouble, but the rest should handle it okay. And it runs a LOT better in chrome or chomium then it does in firefox. Take a look and tell me how it works for you? XD

A very interesting article about the problems with capitalism, and with American libertarianism in particular.

"The path to ultimate domination of all humanity does not lead through the Dietary Fiber Levels in Food Act of 2006."

Ah, but see, thats just what they want you to think...

"America has had 11 school shootings in the last 23 days. That’s one every other day, more or less. That statistic is alarming enough — but it is just a number. Perspective asks us for comparison. So let me put that another way. America has had 11 school shootings in the last 23 days, which is more than anywhere else in the world, even Afghanistan or Iraq."

And that's not even the worst news.

tfw when Atom doesn't reappear after an update, so you go and try to kill the process and then it automatically reappears. :/

If you watch closely enough, everything is a speaker: Using high speed cameras, it’s possible to record the vibrations of everyday objects caused by nearby sounds and reverse engineer the sounds…

Hmm, heres something interesting someone posted, about possibilities for the next system after capitalism. Still looking through it. XD

So....

Here's my followup question.

Where are all the other people who have discovered this?

Who have criticised this not-very-good movie and are finding themselves abruptly silenced?

Who are being silenced IN LEFT-LIBERAL LEANING SPACES?

Where are they talking?

Are they happy about how they're being treated, do you think?

What places on the Internet are open to hear from them?

Should we maybe be a little concerned about this?

Hmm. Another very interesting article by Scott Alexander. Ironically, I've found myself in both positions, usually whichever is the opposite of whoever I'm arguing with. :P

Hmm. So I've been writing my own little "Atheist book of wisdom". It's super short, but I think I can make it worthwhile? You can see it here, if you're curious:
