Here's another interesting book review. It's about the promise, and failure, of the Soviet Union in the 50's. :/

Hey, so I think I managed to optimize Agora so it should run pretty okay now. Low power computers will likely still have some trouble, but the rest should handle it okay. And it runs a LOT better in chrome or chomium then it does in firefox. Take a look and tell me how it works for you? XD
Hmm. So, how possible is it for there to be life on a tidally locked world? Like, if it was orbiting a red dwarf or something, and was close enough to be tidally locked but still only got as much light as earth, would it be possible for there to be life? Maybe a thin habitable ring around the edge of the sunlit area? or would it just not be possible to have a viable atmosphere? :/
Karl Marx: Revolution is inevitable because no matter how much capital owns, they will always need an army of workers to do anything, and since those workers are angry and are already trained in army-like discipline, they can be easily radicalised.
Silicon Valley Venture Capitalists: Very clever, Karl. But what if I told you we could replace the entire planet's working class with a bunch of robots and cloud servers, and then just let all the workers quietly die in the streets from starvation?
Aaargh I'm bad at programming whyyyyyy. :/

#Webcomic Rec: The Ashen Princess
Found this webcomic the other day and I love it. To give you the short version: Trans girl breaks free from her oppressive society and goes for an adventure across the universe with a theater troupe. It is amazing. :P
@congressedits holy Shit, these are hilarious. XD
Huh. So apparently, we need to roll back not just this latest FCC decision, but also the one from 2005 that let ISP's become the virtual monopolies they are today. Who new? :/

...You know what's especially annoying about the high cost of healthcare? How Crap most of it is. Like, everyone you go to a different doctor, you have to get a fresh set of the same tests done. They can't just the data from the other doctor a month ago. I know there are some good reasons for this, but I can't help but feel like the system could he massively improved... :/
@Angle AND IT DOESN'T OPEN YOUTUBE IN THE CRAPPY YOUTUBE APP! Guess Christmas came early. XD
@Angle And I can even add people to lists from their toots, without having to dig them up in the list UI! Huzzah! XD
